Dust Extinction Moisture (DEM) is the moisture level at which a material stops generating significant dust during handling, transfer, or storage. Each material has a specific DEM based on its physical properties, particle size distribution, and moisture behavior.
The goal of TRC Conditioning Systems is to increase material moisture as close as possible to the required DEM level, helping minimize dust generation throughout the downstream material-handling process.
TRC Conditioning Systems are designed to work together with TRC Mist Systems. While mist systems begin the moisture conditioning process at truck dump hoppers or dump pockets, conditioning systems continue adding controlled moisture at conveyor transfer points or other material-handling locations.
These systems are not intended only to control dust at the spray location. Their main purpose is to condition the material so it generates less dust downstream as it moves through conveyors, crushers, screens, bins, hoppers, stockpiles, and loading areas.
TRC Conditioning Systems support reliable dust control in mining, mineral processing, coal handling, stockpile management, power generation, ports, and bulk material handling applications.
