The Raring Corporation uses Water Spray Systems (WSS) to control dust in industrial facilities by applying water to ore and bulk materials at different stages of the material handling process. The objective is to help the material reach its Dust Extinction Moisture (DEM), the moisture level at which dust generation is minimized.
To accurately measure material moisture at a specific point in the process, TRC can integrate a moisture sensor into the dust suppression system. This allows the system to monitor moisture levels, record operating data, and automatically adjust the amount of water being applied.
Moisture sensor integration helps improve water usage, reduce over-wetting, support consistent dust control performance, and maintain proper material handling conditions in mining, mineral processing, coal handling, power generation, ports, and bulk material handling applications.
