4.- Wind Fence and ADS™ Dry Fog for Front-End Loader Discharge Hoppers

< >

Front-end loader discharge hoppers are similar to truck dump applications because a large volume of material is discharged in a short period of time. These applications are often exposed to wind, making dust containment an important part of the dust control strategy.

Effective dust control requires both passive containment and active dust suppression. A wind fence can provide the passive containment needed to reduce wind interference, while an ADS™ Dry Fog Dust Suppression System provides active airborne dust capture at the source.

When installed around a front-end loader discharge hopper, a wind fence helps keep dust and dry fog inside the controlled area. This provides the retention time needed for microscopic fog droplets and airborne dust particles to agglomerate, become heavier, and settle back onto the material stream.

This integrated solution is effective for front-end loader discharge hoppers, truck dumps, port unloading hoppers, mining operations, stockyards, and bulk material handling facilities where wind exposure and high-volume material discharge create dust control challenges.
