In biomass handling, common dust generation points include truck dumps, front-end loader operations, stockpiles, conveyor transfers, and other bulk material handling areas. Because the heat value of biomass is closely related to its moisture content, adding excessive water is not desirable.
TRC ADS™ Dry Fog is well suited for biomass dust control because it captures airborne dust using very small water droplets while adding minimal moisture to the material. TRC FP Series nozzles use compressed air to atomize water into microscopic droplets similar in size to airborne respirable dust particles. These droplets are projected with sufficient kinetic energy to reach the dust source and penetrate opposing airflows.
By applying ADS™ Dry Fog directly at the source, TRC helps reduce fugitive dust emissions, improve housekeeping, support safer working conditions, and maintain biomass material quality.
