2018 NIOSH Innovations Awards Winners

Four companies were awarded 2018 NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) Mine Safety and Health Technology Innovations Awards for developing new tools and systems or using existing technology in new ways.

One of these companies was awarded for successfully reducing airborne exposures to crystalline silica and respirable dust generated during frac sand production by installing two TRC's ADSTM Dry Fog systems to control those dusts.

The company's use of a dense phase conveying system and a fogging system around rotex screens achieved dust reductions that offered measurable protections to workers.

This week we have been visiting clients in the Powder River Basin at Wyoming, USA. The PRB Coal is a super dusty material which pollution is well controlled using TRC ADS Dry Fog.
